Mobile window tint prices for the whole car, installed at your address. Every package fits your shade on the rear side windows and back glass and clear 88% film on the front pair; ceramic is the film we recommend for most LA cars, because it keeps more infrared heat out, and more total heat at darker shades.
| Film | Coupe | Sedan | SUV / minivan | Pickup truck |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ceramic film · 3M Ceramic IR (recommended) | $449 | $499 | $599 | $599 |
| Carbon film · SunTek CXP (standard) | $299 | $329 | $399 | $399 |
At your address, add:
- clear heat-and-UV film for the front side pair alone (88% or more, California-legal), $299;
- a windshield top strip, $129;
- one window, $99;
- a sunroof or glass-roof panel, from $249 (panoramic and Tesla roofs are quoted);
- old tint removal, $199 for a sedan or $299 for an SUV.
The call-out itself: included, with no travel fee and no minimum inside our service area. The film line, the number of windows, a curved back glass and old film move the price; the price buys the film, a legal fit, the install at your door and a finish check with you. How mobile car window tinting works, step by step
- 01
Quote
Book mobile window tinting with the year, make and model, or a photo, and pick the film and shades.
- 02
Place and time
We confirm the spot (see the tables below) and a time slot that suits the weather.
- 03
Set-up
The crew parks alongside with its own water, power and light, sets up in shade or under cover, keeps doors closed against the wind where it can, and wets the glass from a spray bottle, never a hose, so nothing runs off.
- 04
Prep
Outside glass cleaned; inside glass scraped and cleaned; edges and seals wiped out.
- 05
Fit
Film shaped on the outside of the glass and heat-formed to a curved back glass, then applied inside and squeegeed, and every edge checked.
- 06
Hand-over
A walkaround in daylight, the light-meter reading, the certificate, the maker's warranty card filled in by the installer (3M's card for Ceramic IR and the clear front film; SunTek's for CXP) and the aftercare card. Windows stay up for at least 48 hours on 3M film (3M care card); a little haze can take longer to clear.

Mobile window tinting FAQ
Can I get mobile window tinting at home or at work in Los Angeles?
Yes: at home, or in an office or apartment parking structure. We need room to open the doors fully on both sides, shade or a roof over the car, and access arranged; we bring our own water, power and light.
How much is mobile window tinting in Los Angeles?
For a sedan, ceramic film is $499 and carbon film $329, with clear film on the front pair included. The install at your address is included, with no travel fee. The price covers the film, a legal fit, the finish check with you and the certificate; every size is in the table above.
Is a mobile tint install as clean as a shop install?
It can be, when the job is done under cover, out of the wind and inside the film's temperature range. Our controls: a covered spot, doors kept closed, careful glass prep, mounting solution from a spray bottle, a daylight finish check with you, and a new date on wind days. And if anything isn't right, tell us within 48 hours and we come back and fix it at no charge.
Can you wash or detail my car during the same tint visit?
Yes: add a wash or an interior detail to the same appointment. The detail goes first, because newly tinted windows must not be cleaned for a set time (at least 48 hours on 3M film, per 3M's care card). See mobile car wash.
Do I need to be there while you tint?
Only at the start and at hand-over: for the keys, access and the walkaround. The crew needs the car for the time on your booking, and you are free in between.
Do you need water or power at my place?
No. The crew brings water, power and light. You provide a flat, shaded spot where the doors open fully on both sides, plus access to it.
Can you tint my car in an apartment or office parking garage?
Yes, when the building allows it, and it is the best spot we can get: a roof, shade and no wind. Ask the building manager for access before the appointment, and tell us the level and the spot number when you book.
What happens if it's windy, raining or very hot or cold on my appointment day?
We move the job under a roof or to a new date at no charge, because wind carries dust under film and car film has a working range (3M: 39–113°F). West Valley jobs are timed around cold mornings and 100°F afternoons.

Where and when we can tint in LA
Some LA tint shops only work in their own bay. We bring the bay's conditions to you, or pick a covered spot: film has a working temperature range, and 3M gives 39–113°F (4–45°C) for its automotive film (3M bulletin).
| Spot | How well it suits tint | What to arrange |
|---|---|---|
| Private garage, attached or detached | Best: no wind, full shade | Room to open the doors |
| Apartment or office parking structure | Best: a roof and shade all day | The building's permission |
| Driveway | Good, in shade, on a calm day | Shade at the time of the job |
| Open office lot | Good, in a shaded bay | A bay out of the wind |
| Street curb | Possible on a calm day, in shade | Room to open the traffic-side doors safely; otherwise we move to a covered spot |
| Condition | What we do | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Santa Ana wind days, most common September to May | Wind carries dust under film, so the job moves under a roof or to a new date, at no charge | National Weather Service |
| Rain season: normal February rain is 4.62 in at Woodland Hills and 2.99 in at LAX, against 0.00 in for August at both | December to March, outdoor jobs get a covered spot or a new date; garage jobs go ahead | NOAA 1991–2020 normals |
| West Valley heat: Woodland Hills averages about 36 days a year at or above 100°F; LAX averages 0.2 | Glass in the sun runs hotter than the air, close to 3M's 113°F limit, so Valley summer jobs go in shade or a garage, in the morning | NOAA 1991–2020 normals |
| West Valley cold mornings: about 67 nights a year at or below 40°F at Woodland Hills (44 of them December to February), against 1.6 at LAX | That is the bottom of 3M's 39°F range, so winter jobs start late morning or go in a garage, and the hand-over card gives the longer end of the drying wait | NOAA 1991–2020 normals |
Film choice and what we put on each window
| Film | Total solar energy rejected | Infrared rejected | UV blocked | Warranty, in the maker's words |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ceramic · 3M Ceramic IR (recommended for most LA cars) | 52% | 61% | 99.6% | For "as long as you own your vehicle", original owner only |
| Carbon · SunTek CXP (the entry film) | 53% | 55% | 99% or more | "Backed by SunTek's manufacturer's lifetime limited warranty, with protection against change in color. Restrictions apply." |
Both makers state no metal, so neither film interferes with phone, GPS or radio signals, and neither fades purple. The clear front film is 3M Crystalline CR BLK 80, listed at 88% visible light. More on the ceramic line: ceramic tint.
| Window | What we fit at your place |
|---|---|
| Rear side windows and back glass | Any shade you pick; the back glass needs outside mirrors on both sides |
| Front side windows | Clear film of 88% or more only, with the signed certificate left in the car |
| Windshield | A top strip only; no full-windshield film |
We check your windows against California law before we start; the rule for each window is in how to have tint legally in California. The clear front film still earns its place: the Skin Cancer Foundation notes that side, back and sunroof glass is often tempered and does not block UVA effectively, and that UV window film can block more than 99% of UVA and UVB (Skin Cancer Foundation).
